(Central Maine – April 7, 2011)  Spectrum Generations Family Caregiver Support Program is providing four Maine Savvy Caregiver trainings this spring and summer. Savvy Caregiver is a 12-hour training program for family caregivers of people with dementing disorders like Alzheimer’s disease.   These trainings are sponsored by the Office of Elder Services, Department of Health and Human Services and funded by a grant from the U.S.

Walmart Brings Savings and Convenience to Skowhegan - Expanded store adds full line of groceries and 40 new jobs
SKOWHEGAN, Maine, March 30, 2011 – The wait is over for residents in Skowhegan eager to see their Walmart at 60 Fairground Market Place bring savings on a full line of groceries and a wide assortment of new products and services. The new Walmart is designed to make shopping easy for customers. The store’s expansion brings 40 new jobs to the community. The store will unveil the new expansion to customers at 7 a.m., Wednesday, April 13, after a brief ribbon-cutting ceremony.
“We have a loyal customer base and some have been shopping here since our original opening,” said store manager Paul Conklin. “We think they’ll love the new, easy-to-shop layout of the store and appreciate the savings we offer on the products they need.”
