November is Hospice Care Month | Events
November is Hospice Care month, and with that we are starting a new tradition. In the month of November, we will be doing a shirt campaign. We have teamed up Kyle Poissonnier, a graduate from Skowhegan High School, and his brand Katalyst, To bring you this one of a kind shirt; it will only be available until Nov 26th. We will be selling either a long sleeve shirt for the cost of $17.00 or a short sleeve shirt for the cost of $15.00. The money raised from these shirts will allow us to continue our programs and expand to do more programs and training. We are hoping that you would like to buy one and share this with your friends. This is a pre-order, and the order will be placed on the 26th. You will be receiving your shirts after that.
Hospice Volunteers of Somerset County Inc, is a local non-profit and community funded, that has a mission to care for those with a life-limiting illness, provide support and solace to the grieving, and educating the community. Unlike medical hospice, a client does not have to have a prognosis of six months or less to live and can still be pursuing curative treatment. We also offer bereavement services, which are available to anyone who has sustained loss either through illness or unexpectedly. We also have support groups and hold memorial events at different times during the year.
Attached are some of the upcoming training that we have happening in Somerset County. If you have any question please feel free to contact me anytime.
