Movies: "X-Men: First Class"

The mighty Marvel megaplex money machine marches on.  With “Thor” still in theaters and “Captain America” waiting in the wings, the Marvel megalith rolls out what may turn out to be the best comic book movie this summer, a prequel titled “X-Men: First Class.”

Directed by Matthew Vaughan, whose previous movie “Kick-Ass” was really a comic book spoof enlivened by a dirty-mouthed tweener, the new “X-Men” is lighter fare than its four predecessors, an entertaining marriage of James Bond thriller and superhero fantasy.

I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change

I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change

"Everything you have ever secretly thought about dating, romance, marriage, lovers, husbands, wives, and in-laws, but were afraid to admit." Now the second longest running play on Broadway, I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change is a musical revue which takes a funny and witty look at relationships from the first date through marriage and death. From cold feet to 30 years of marriage I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change is presented in the form of a series of vignettes connected by the central theme of love and relationships. The lighter first act focuses on the ups and downs of dating, culminating in a wedding; the second act covers marriage from laughs to tears, from newlyweds to senior citizens. The trials and tribulations of being single, dating, marriage, loss, and heartbreak are cleverly explored in this reprisal of one of Lakewood's most popular productions.
